We are based outside the United States but this Privacy Policy is provided in English for visitors from the United States and other English-speaking regions, and reflects U.S. privacy practices and expectations to the extent applicable.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you visit or interact with our website:

  • Technical/log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, date/time of access — collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure.
  • Contact form data: name, email address, and any message content you submit voluntarily through our contact form (powered by the WPForms plugin).
  • Analytics data: aggregated and pseudonymized usage statistics collected via Google Analytics (implemented through the Site Kit by Google plugin), such as pages viewed, session duration, and general geographic/device information.
  • Language preference: a technical cookie storing your selected language, since our site is available in German, English, Spanish, and Portuguese (via the Polylang plugin).
  • Security-related data: IP addresses and request patterns may be processed by our security plugin (Wordfence Security) to detect and prevent malicious activity.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (see Section 8, Children’s Privacy).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Operate, maintain, and secure our website
  • Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form or by email
  • Understand how visitors use our site (via analytics) to improve content and performance
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to security threats, fraud, or abuse
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses a cookie consent banner (powered by WPConsent) that allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics cookies) before they are loaded. Essential/technical cookies (e.g., the language-preference cookie) are used regardless, as they are necessary for the site to function.

You can manage or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings link on our site, or through your browser settings. For a detailed list of cookies used, their purpose, and duration, please see our separate Cookie Policy.

5. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (“Google”), implemented through Site Kit by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how visitors use our website. The information generated is transmitted to and processed by Google, which may include processing on servers located in the United States.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by declining analytics cookies in our consent banner, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

For more information on how Google handles data, see Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We may share information with the following categories of service providers, solely as needed to operate our website:

  • Hosting provider — stores server infrastructure and log data (provider not named publicly; available upon request)
  • Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC — Google Analytics, Google Search Console
  • Email delivery service (via the WP Mail SMTP plugin) — used to send emails such as replies to contact inquiries; the specific provider may vary
  • Defiant Inc. (Wordfence Security), based in the United States — provides website firewall and malware-detection services

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights under applicable U.S. state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, and similar laws in states like Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others), including the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you
  • Request access to or a copy of that information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are typically defined)
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@guaira-solar.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including a website firewall (Wordfence Security) and access controls, to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. International Data Transfers

Because some of our service providers (such as Google and Wordfence/Defiant) are based in or process data in the United States, information collected from visitors located outside the United States may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

12. Do Not Track

Our website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, as there is no uniform industry standard for how to interpret such signals.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
